Seems to have gone backwards with not being able to separate the bands, I wonder if the 5Ghz can be turned off.
Plusnet sent me a Zyxel due to a problem I was having,

The Hub One already has a WAN port does it not? They gave the Hub One to everyone on the FTTP trial

This looks more like preparation for their VOIP offering.

It's also necessary for the highest ultrafast tiers if Plusnet do end up selling them.

Just looks like a BT Smart Hub 2 that has a different casing on, like their Hub One was with regards to the BT Home Hub 5.

Same as BT with their Smart Hub 2. It's basically a re-badged SH2.

Hopefully with better firmware to get rid of all that smart set up rubbish, i disabled that in the few BT hubs i have helped people connect to,.

So much for plusnet launching FTTP "during the summer" as all the ISP pundits were spouting.
Glad I didn't waste time sticking with plusnet and moved to BT, I'd still be stuck on 2Mb ADSL now.

Plusnet Hub Two are now available on new fibre order (FTTC 80/20 and FTTC 40/10) but Plusnet Hub One remain on ADSL2+ only.

Any details on the problem you were having & what Zyxel they provided?

I've just come off the phone with Plusnet trying to get a new Hub 2 for my long line ADSL in the hope that it might help with the line & WiFi. At first they told me it wouldn't work on ADSL then after some discussion with their tech support, they agreed that it would actually work on ADSL, but it was only being provided for FTTC & upcoming FTTP customers. I'd forgotten about the issue with SSID names on the BT Hub. I guess it's probably the same on the PN versions?

Assuming the Hub 2 is a replica of BT's Smart Hub 2, then yes it will work on ADSL, but the chipset inside of it is more designed for VDSL, so may not work so well on ADSL, as say one of their ADSL-only routers. I'm not too sure about the SSID issue, but yes, if that part of the firmware is similar to BT's, then yes you will encounter the same problem.

True, it could well be optimised for VDSL etc.

Or even the more often used in this country VDSL2 wink 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️😎

Connections: OnePlus 8 Pro on Three 4+ (LTE)/5G and at home Three Mobile, with (Three)ZTE MF286D router giving about 113/20Mbps.
