I saw that, we will wait and see, but as the article says it is all mixed up. It could take years, so I am not going to let it bother me,

BT would be stupid to get out of low cost market, they would lose a lot of customers and to be honest I would not want to go to BT.

Makes me wonder why they appear to want to continue with both BT Broadband and EE Broadband!

Possibly down to "brand loyalty" or so they are told by their market "researchers".

Why is EE mobile not rebranded as BT mobile? or why does BT Mobile still exist?

EE were successfrom the start, Bt has been a dumpster fire for years, they have even made EE their flagship company due to this. I suspect its a stupid version of this logic (EE high tier, BT low tier but not a s* show) is going on to push plusnet out,

As far as i know France Telecom rebranded to Orange, so BT flipping to EE wouldnt be a surprise.

As for Plusnet itit appears that since the BT buyout PN have been slowly withering away with all of the things that once made them unique slowly being stripped away bit by bit.

The roll out of FTTP where you can/will loose your landline is another issue , especially so for those who have had the same number for years/decades and rely upon it, - even if they mostly use the mobile there will still be hard to contact distant relatives and friends who will contact them via landline.
A big crunch on this will be when PSTN is withdrawn
