Switching to Sky LLU from BT ADSL2+ (speed question)?

Hi,

I'm on BT ADSL2+... Sky have just enabled their LLU in my area (the only LLU provider here) and I was wondering if I'm likely to see improved speeds if I switch to Sky LLU?

I'm approx 3 KM from the exchange, the router shows 48 dB Attenuation, 15 dB Noise Margin. It used to sync at 2560 kbps but for the last 3-4 months it won't sync any higher than 576 kbps. I've phoned BT but they seem to think 156-576 kbps is an acceptable speed, even though I had 2560 kbps stable for several months previously.

Don't know if this helps, but with a similar line to yours, this is what I get from Sky LLU:

Router stats would help us. Sky may be able to give you better but if there are line problems then they may restrict your line as well. If you could run routerstats lite against your router and monitor the SNR over a few days then that would give an idea of possible speeds and issues.

Have you done all the usual of checking ring wires, testing from test socket, etc?
