Signing up to Sky

I signed up to Sky on Saturday. According to Talk Talk Business when I was chasing my MAC code, they put the Cease order on the line that same day (quite impressed there).

I received my new router yesterday. It is a D-Link one.

I also have a date from which service will start - 7th March.

I will post on here to update how it all goes.

Hopefully you will have the 1.11 firmware to be able to extract username/password if you need it for later

According to the side of the box. I intend to get the username and password asap,but I was planning on going back to my old router after the first 10days.

I got home today switched on the new router and I am now posting using sky. First speed test is 3.3mbps 10 times what we have been getting at the same time on the evening. Ping test is averaging 50ms we were getting low 40's

Glad it's better speed for you Nicky, we were on the same exchange funnily enough. You can ring Sky up and ask them for the gaming profile straight away.

Thanks for that, however hubby in online at the moment and is saying it is good. So I won't do anything unless he is having problems

We are noticing how much faster normal browsing and downloading email is.

Nice and cheap too, assuming you're on LLU.
