Well, why wouldnt they use cheap ones. I mean if you dont like it you can just use your own..... Oh wait, no you cant...

Maybe we should question their 'worth £50' statement. smile

lol i like that statement although extract ur un/pw and ya can lol screw sky forcing us haha

I plan to. smile

Though I cant seem to find if there is any way to get the password from the 2304N yet.. frown

Apparently, you can use the skypass generator site, and select the old sagem model.

Ooh, didnt know they'd started rolling out N routers, just ordered as well so have to see if I get one. Still rather use my current router though, hope I get one I can extract the details from.

If your looking for login details check out: https://www.cm9.net/skypass/
This will give you your username and password for Sky you just need to put in the MAC and the default WPA password on the bottom of the router Sky sends you.

I found this on http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/asking-help/8543-non-...

Thanks for this. I wasnt sure as I have the 2304N, but somebody mentioned elsewhere that the 2504 link on that site also works for it. Just waiting for my 10 days to be up then I'm gonna give it a try.

I put the details in from my 2304N and it worked fine. There's no problem getting the login info early which is what i did. I'm going to wait for the 10days to be up as well.

Yep it gives a result, but its whether that result will work. As far as I can tell you can type any [censored] in there and it will come back with something, but we'll have to wait and see if the result actually works for the new model.

There's a poster here that says it does work.

If you haven't changed your sky router's default WPA network key yet, I'd suggest using copy and paste to copy the wpa key and the LAN port MAC address from the sky router's web interface to the skypass generator, and to copy the results to your non-sky router, so you can at least be sure that if it doesn't work, its not caused by a typo, or mistaking a 1 for an I or something like that.
