Hi, my daughter recently moved from O2 to SKY - moved house, literally a few doors away. She was with O2 (for 18 months), but was told she could not move it to her new home. They said it had to be a "new provision", and that when they tried to put in the order, it was refused because the O2 rack was not accessible.
Was getting a good 5.5 megs.
Now with SKY and the DLM (been just over a week now), is only coming up with around 2 megs or so.
Line attn is 61db nm is 7 db.
This is in the master socket and nothing else connected - no hard wired extensions etc.
The response is dire, and things like Facebook take minutes to load a page and YouTube is not useable at all, nor are any of the TV systems. Have yet to connect up the Xbox live etc ...
Given this is not very good, what are the chances of trying another provider given the speeds are pretty useless - and given a few doors away, connected to the same green cab (we all go to the same one!), people get 5 megs or so on ADLS2+.
Or, will she be locked into a 1 year contract?
TIA
Rob
