leaving sky broadband - do email accounts stay valid?

pretty much summed it up in the subject !!!

just wanted to know if i leave sky to go to say cable as the accounts are rebranded gmail accounts does sky actuallly pull the plug and close your accounts or just leave as is for us to use to our hearts content ???

just want to know if i need go thru all my accounts and change email address'

You should visit the Sky web site to ensure that your settings are suitable to allow you to access your email account from a non-Sky ISP & enable IMAP or POP3 if you wish to use a email client, rather than visit the web page.
