Using my own router

I have sky bb and need to use my own router I have a belkin n router. So I start off by getting my sky username and password of the sky router and use them on the setup of the belkin router which I am using the setup disk. On the final stage when it comes up with connecting to the Internet it does not connect and comes up with ISP not accepted or something like that anyone know what I might be doing wrong.

Yes, don't use the setup CD. Better to configure it manually from settings in Sky router or to be found on Net.

Do you know if there are another settings I have to chance on the belkin router to get it to work. As I have tried to do it without the setup disk but still won't connect.

Check using the Sky router if the connection is PPPoA or MER,if it is MER you will have difficulty using another router unless you can spoof the mac address.

Ok just check and it is MER. Any help on spoofing the mac address.

You don't have a userid and pasword with MER, yet you already have these. I suggest you configure using PPPoA.

What settings were you using with PPPoA initially?
