fibre broad band install question

Hi everyone.
Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.
Ive placed an order for sky fibre broadband.
My mastersocket is in the hall of my house. the comp and modem is in the lounge under the stairs and uses a phone socket in the lounge at present for adsl. All other extensions from master socket are disconnected and I have a good connection from the socket to the master socket.
Question is, Am i going to have a modem sat in the hallway of my house or will it plug into my existing socket i already use in the lounge ?

They will generally run a new data extension from your master to wherever you want the modem. It can be upto 30 metres long

OR if the current cable between the master and your extension is good... They can sometimes turn the extension into the master using the current cabling.
