Rain..

When it rains my connection always goes down, when it first starts. It will usually reconnect whilst its still raining though. Does anyone else have this and is it normal? I'm very far away from the exchange (57db att)

I get really bad connection problems, when it rains heavy. It can be a nightmare

If you are a very long way from the exchange it may be something you have to put up with. If it rains some moisture will get into the lines

Not really unless there is a fault somewhere caused by bad insulation. Its certainly not something I'd expect someone to have to put up with.

The OP does however need to check that none of the cabling/lineplant inside his own property is getting damp during the rain though as could easily be an issue within his own home.

If your line is crackling when this happens, report that as a fault. If not then report it as you have just mentioned to your ISP.

Report it as phone fault. Do not mention broadband
