Sky Fibre Pro - Performance Degrading

A few weeks ago I moved from Fibre unlimited where is was getting 40/10, to Unlimited Pro.

Before switching to Pro, I unlocked the modem and my max attainable rate was 76344 Kbps and when Pro was activated my sync speed was 76,337kbps.

This stayed the same, and stable for about 2 weeks when I needed to reboot the Sagem router. After rebooting the router, my sync dropped to 68768kbps. I've checked the modem again and the max attainable rate now reads 81028kbps!

My ping has also got much worse. When at 76,337, I was getting 6 or 7ms ping when pinging bbc.co.uk and now when at 68,768kbps it's 19 or 20ms.

(Upload sync has stayed at 20,000kbps throught my time on Pro)

Could anyone please shed any light on this and advise me if there's something I can do about getting my better speed and ping back?

As takeup of VDSL2 increases crosstalk becomes a much larger issue than it was with ADSL, so if you were an early user on your cabinet then this is to be expected.

The change in latency may be the Openreach DLM turning up interleaving depth due to errors.

Basically yes, interleaving may have increased depth due to crosstalk as stated
& the sync lowered for the same reason.

You can only resolve it probably by a) making people leave fibre broadband or b) physically moving closer to the green cabinet. Both are not possible...

The max sync is a perfect situation and assumes no interleaving required. It's not a realistic situation.
The system is automatic so not controlled by sky and any fibre provider would have resulted in the same.

Thank you. I probably did the wrong thing in rebooting my modem and router a few times after I noticed the sync had lowered. Not sure if my pings increased the first time I noticed my sync drop. I guess that there's no way to have interleaving turned off

I'm on 40/10 I think I'll stick to that for a while, don't really need the extra speed to be honest, most things download in a reasonable time anyway.

Though I use speedtest.net and get 38Mbs

I always find the tbb tester shows lower, I go by speedtest.net .
