I'm a Be customer and have been contacted by Sky offering me the chance to move over. I'm on ADSL but asked about fibre. I was told I could have a fixed IP address but I see no mention of this on Sky's website. Anyone out there on a fixed IP?

I asked a couple of times and was told I could have a fixed IP included in the £20.00 a month fee... Got the impression it would be now, not in the new year.

I know I can get a fixed IP on PlusNet or Zen today, I'm not sure that Sky have as good a reputation as those companies. I have been left pretty unimpressed by Sky's call to me.
Consider Easynet Connect - a business ADSL service which uses Sky LLU (not to be confused wih Sky Connect!). They offer up to 13 static ip addresses and also Annex M if required. You could always say you're a home worker, cough cough splutter http://www.easynetconnect.net/products-and-services/...

PlusNet fixed IP cost me a one-off £1 plus the monthly rental for phone and FTTC is cheaper.
