Sky Email down again.

So rare with O2 - email issues seem common with Sky.

Ex. O2 customers - this works:-

Switch back to:-
smtp.o2.co.uk
port 25

Use Hotmail, Gmail or the myriad of paid for email facilities.

I already have my own domains with lots of mailboxes for different purposes and I use an ISP just to send and receive emails, also gmail.

I'd certainly not rely on Yahoo or Hotmail.

It's maybe not Sky's fault but yet another change to email security settings by Yahoo.

Yahoo mail was a constant thorn in the side for BT customers and that is why BT ditched it.

I bet Sky got a cheap deal from Yahoo and now we are suffering.

That thread is about the Skyuser SMTP server, not the Sky SMTP server. Your post in there was off topic.

Yes, you are right, though a similar issue seems to be on that SMTP and at about the same time as the Sky one.

None of the mods on Skyuser have commented so full marks to you for spotting it.
