Can anyone tell me why different routers deal with DMZ in different ways?
Whilst my Sky hub handles external traffic fine, traffic from my lan to my IP doesn't get redirected. Is there anyway round this?
My old Technicolor TG582N router used to work fine.

Have you tried registering with no-ip.org (or which ever is supported by the Skyhub), and then hitting that name and seeing if that works?
Certainly that works for my with my Draytek (although I can use IP addresses too) for the config I have.

NAT Loopback and not every router does it.
Internal DNS lookups to resolve a domain name to the LAN IP of the host will work usually.

I gave up and have binned the Sky box in favour of my trusty Technicolor router.

Good idea, NAT Loopback either works or doesn't I've found!
