I'm asking for a friends mum.
They are with Sky for their broadband but only getting 1mbps download speed and paying £42 for it!
They are in a village just outside of the town, i've looked around the village to see if they have a green cabinet to either get FTTC or FTTP, but can't see one.
I tried using the Katz site to see if i could locate it but it doesn't recognise the phone number.
I was on the phone to Sky for them, one guy suggested cancelling their internet to see what comes available on his screen, but i wasn't going to do that and leave them with nothing.
They have a neighbour directly across the street from them who has not long got GoFibre installed (FTTP) i phoned GoFibre and they said this house can't get it as the ducting is too full.
My friends dad did say years ago they did get crossed lines as the cables were corroded, so i'm thinking this may be the issue.
When i was on the phone to Sky they guy never mentioned about getting an engineer sent out to investigate the issue.
Where do we go from here?
