Off-Peak Bandwidth

[link to this post]

Are there any restrictions on bandwidth usage outside of the peak hours??

Or any FUP?

In a word no. There's no restrictions on off peak usage; it is measured but forms no part of the tarrif.

Remember also that peak hours for A&A are 8am-6pm Mon-Fri (i.e. office hours), unlike most ISPs where peak is evenings and weekends. So for home users, who use very little during the week, being out at work/college/school/whatever, it's effectively an unlimited deal.

"Don't take the [censored]."

If more bandwidth is used in the off peak period than the peak period across the userbase as a whole, you should really expect something to be done..

I agree 100%.

A&A have a policy where they have enough bandwidth to not need to shape or limit anything.
If the load increases significantly then this could mean that extra measures are introduced, so be sensible and enjoy one of the last great ISPs in the UK!!
