AAISP and Online Gaming - any feedback?

[link to this post]

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for any feedback from those Online Gamers that are with AAISP and to how good and more importantly their pings are at peak times?

Also I have a question about the "Unit system". If you say purchase 2 units a month and this in the main covers you well, can you "top up" in advance with say an extra unit (possibly more) if you know you are likely to exceed your 2 units by a fair amount?

Thanks...

Not a gamer myself but aaisp have always been pretty good when it comes to ping.

I reckon that Saturday night at 6.30pm is pretty busy and I have just done a ping test:
(I am on fastpath, so worth getting the "pro" package where you can select path type via the control panel-I used to be on interleave but my ping was normally more like 25ms so fastpath is much better)

If by "peak times" you mean "when it is slow" then there are no such times smile

AAISP state that they aim to provide a network that is never a bottleneck in your Internet connection - so their service will provide the fastest speed that your line, equipment and underlying telco can provide. My pings are about the same as boliston's, whatever time of day or day of the week and I've never had problems with online gaming (cept for lamers, crashes and the [censored] servers that come along with that hobby wink

As far as top-ups are concerned, they take effect straight away I believe.
