Quick question about my lines graph

[link to this post]

Hi,

New to AAISP so still learning about the line graphs.

Today at approx 4.20pm and yesterday at approx 3.30pm a purple line extended down from the top of my graph about one quarter of the way down, then it turned into a smaller red line. The whole line takes up just under a third of the depth of the graph.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Would it be just a loss of sync? My line is still in the 10 day training period, but the sync rate has always stayed around 21300 or thereabouts.

Any comments appreciated, thanks in advance.

Here's my line stats if it helps:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 21355 kbps 1240 kbps
Line Attenuation 15.0 db 6.2 db
Noise Margin 4.9 db 6.6 db

Hi PuncH

Yes, that would indicate either a loss of sync or a loss of PPP.

If you click on the graph (to get to editline.cgi) and then click on "log" (underneath the graph) you should see the exact times and an indication of the reason (e.g. lost carrier or lost service)

Hope that helps
Terry

Aaah, thanks very much!

It says lost carrier on one of them and lost service for the day before.

No drops today so far smile
