Hi folks, as per the 'Subject Line', I have signed-up with AAISP - Hooray!!
Theresa D. went through the whole process with me (so patient, and very friendly), and Mike took my DD details from me, so next week, I should get my smashing router through and connected later.
My Be* connection ceases on Monday 10th (tomorrow:s), so, the next we chat, I'll have better ISP. Can't wait!
Will speak to you all soon. Byee! (for now)
You can see why here.
And HERE.
Am synced at 17.5meg down, and 1.1meg up.
Here's hoping AAISP can fix what Be* had never attempted to. They will have a loyal customer if/when they do.
Edited: To fix graph.

To what 'package' are you signing up to with AA? Are you staying on the Be back-haul with AA or moving to 21CN ?
I guess this is in relation to the recent blog post I've seen on the Be website regarding upgrading their network? (which is mostly due to capacity problems at the moment). Probably if you waited another year or so, most of that would be sorted out, as they are revamping their core network starting early on next year, with the aim of also supporting IPv6.
The drop in usage is disappointing. I've had a chance to think about AA's new offerings, and 100Gb slashed to 50Gb a unit is a real shame. I think they should have left even the weekend off-peak allowance at 100Gb/unit, and made weekday off-peak 50Gb/unit, but decisions are final.
Anyway, enjoy your stay, so far, I've had a very pleasant experience!

Edited: To fix graph. link to ping monitor isn't working , well not for me anyways, yes i considered AAISP but the cap's are in my opinion too stingy particularly if on a resold be product

If you are going to AAISP's BE product it will be an interesting experiment to compare the comparative performance of their respective networks.
I think this link suggests they haven't dropped a single packet due to congestion on their BE network in the last 28 days !!

Yes, this most likely explains why using the Be back-haul with AA is about £20 more expensive per month than 21CN.

I'm still connected to Be atm - typiske - It should be off at some point today. Hopefully!
Will be on the Be back-haul iirc - glad to get things sorted with AA. Do not have any problems staying with AA if things get fixed [as promised]. I look forward to both that, and to eventually getting IPV6 as and when that happens. My cables go direct to the exchange just now, which was why my speeds were faster. Was great having d/l's at 2.21meg (at the beginning), and 1.4meg up (on the router).
Ah, memories...

Welcome, it's nice here

Thanks - I look forward to getting hooked up to AA, and have a few tweaks already sorted for my new Billion router when it arrives.

|

So I see. Thank you very much.
Just waiting for my Be connection to cease today at some point, and shall await my new router.
And, hello to everyone here!
|
|

Will happily pay it.
Excellent!

Will see how it goes here.
I have faith in AA.

I have kept fast path on lately, and 3db too. Speedtest.bbmax.co.uk and that other one, which ISN'T used now ), both provide[d] similar results.
TBB on the other hand gives me this and up to this.
i have decided to leave A&A (unfortunately) before I eat up my allowance right up. They ARE superb, un-rivalled, and absolutely the un-limited best. I s'pose.
I kept within my limits without going into the full usage amount, and had to, with the deepest regrets, am migrating back to Be*. Such is life, and it is for the best.
Looking forward to re-joing A&A when the situation arise again, and it will be excellent again - The fully tweakable connection and speeds to match. It really is top-notch. The same goes for ALL the staff. Thank you Andrews & Arnold for providing the internet, the way it should be - Mmmm... oh yes.
A&A are 100% recommended, with everything they do, is flawless.
Edited to add: I opted to purchase the Billion BiPAC 7800N Dual WAN ADSL2+/Broadband Wireless-N Gigabit Firewall Modem Router that was provided by AAISP - It is a great router, and is a pleasure to use - it does exactly what it says on the tin, although, the colour scheme is not the 'bestest', but everything else within it is the canines danglies. Best of all, it uses a Broadcom Chipset. The wireless is good, as well as all of its features.
It'll be used (and preferred anyway) over the Be-Box.
Still, I've got until Thursday until the migration back to Be*, so will closely watch my [excellent] AAISP usage.
Bye for now, folks!

Did AAISP sort out your line problems?
|
|
|
Asked them just to leave it as-is.
Not a user. Be said that they'd investigate it further.
Time will tell.

I think I would have taken the opportunity to get it sorted out with AAISP.

I kept within my limits without going into the full usage amount, and had to, with the deepest regrets, am migrating back to Be*. Such is life, and it is for the best. This seems to be your reason for going back, but is there a word or two missing? I don't see any statement of a problem with the allowance.

Word or two missing? You mean Be kept problems going without sorting it? That's true.
AA sorted it, and things are better than before-ish. My top speeds with Be at the beginning when first joining them was 19meg down. If they can keep up the current speeds, that fine. For now.
Be also did work at my exchange when I was using AA+Be.
Nicely nicely.

?
I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I just don't understand the quote I gave. That's why I asked if something is missing.
Or do you mean you joined AA, got "the problem" fixed,(either through them or coincidentally), then went back to Be on cost grounds?
