What if I use too much?
We slow you down until the next month. The speed you go down to will be around 3Mb/s which is still usable for streaming video. Any usage comes out of the following month's allowance. 3Mb/s means you can never manage to use all of next month's allowance even flat out.
According to
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24198739/what-bit... , that would mean you say good-bye to 720p+ video quality if you're throttled to that speed. So in my books, that's no longer fast enough for streaming
decent video.
In any case, you would have to be going some to chomp through 1TB in a month to even reach this point. As it is, I'm only managing around 350GB a month.
Definitely a specialised package, and TalkTalk is available at my exchange/cabinet, but I just don't know if I can justify the cost. But for those who want a cheap "leased line" type of service, it is definitely a contender.
