Keen to switch when you do!

Not heard anything about it yet, I did another order recently for SoHo::1 2TB VDSL2 however (due to moving house) and my contract term is now 6 months. It used to be 12 months for terabyte packages, unless my memory serves me wrong. If I'm right then that's a nice improvement already . I would however like to see the introduction of 1 month or even 3 month contracts (if 1 month is not easy to accommodate yet).
The terabyte packages still go via TTB backhaul, though it might now be possible to put in a request for your order to go via BTW backhaul should you desire this instead. I've not had problems using TTB backhaul however, especially on the new network that's nearly finished being trialled and going live (last I heard mid March I believe).

Thanks for the info I never knew there was any congestion on TTB - when I was with them directly I never saw any anyway - but I will keep an eye out in the hope this is the start of it

An impressive latency improvement. Though mine can vary by up to 4ms or so on a re-sync, on BTW. Currently high after I finally managed to sync above 76Mbps at 00:53 on 27 Feb.
If you catch it quick you can see it on my BQM in my sig.

My ping on the new TTB trial network
It was generally twice that on the old/current network.
Latency is generally 6ms to 7ms to google.co.uk (on the new trial network).

But the trial network is presumably being tested for functionality. Fully loaded live running could be a different thing entirely.

True, time will tell I guess. I'm hopeful I won't see the return of a much higher than usual latency again.

It's likely that much greater capacity at all possible pinch points has been incorporated, and financial provision made to fix any unexpected bottlenecks very quickly indeed in the early days. It won't just be a wodge more fibre cabling.
It was just a point to bear in mind though. I doubt if in reality you will see much, if any, degradation when they switch fully to it.

We hope to announce something in a couple of weeks.

Nce!
We've seen latency on the new TT network as low as 4.4ms!

Thanks - I don't want to sign up for another year elsewhere so I will go with Elite who are doing this for £39 a month _ VAT and £40 setup fee and then transfer to you when that time comes.
