I've just moved back to AAISP after quite some time with Zen. As part of that I took the opportunity to have my BT landline number released and ported to their VoIP platform.
Aside from one issue, things went very smoothly. There was a mistake with their upstream provider that meant I was accidentally receiving calls for another user (they were arriving at AAISP's equipment tagged with my number by mistake!), but Andrew had the whole thing sorted in less than 24 hours from me reporting it (and this was at 8 PM on a Friday night!)
I now use the native SIP client in Android to receive all the calls to the landline number. I only chose to keep the number as a lot of people already have it and trying to update all of those to the correct mobile number would have been a hassle.
Call quality is great. I love the ability to automatically record calls, have voicemail and receive text messages, all of which are then e-mailed to me.
I've also set the account to disallow any outgoing chargeable calls, as we all use mobile contracts with free minutes for the occasional calls we have to make.
All in all, very impressed with the service, it's exactly what I've come to expect from AAISP.
