Re: Report BB fault to BT voice

When you have your phone plugged in, (Iíve just re-read your OP), what happens if you answer it within two or three rings?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

On four attempts it dropped three times out of four. The one that didn't drop was the fastest pickup. That's with my wiring restored to normal as first described.

[Always find your posts here very useful]

Edit: BTW - AA have now arranged an engineer visit.

To complete the story.

On engineer visit, no major problems were identified. The master socket and face plate filter were replaced with the latest version which improved the attenuation by 1dB and gave me an extra 1Mbps stable downstream speed connecting at 7669 instead of 6656.

The line still dropped out on ringing occasionally but was much better.

Many thanks for AA for their involvement when the matter was brought to their attention.

Lines should not drop out on ringing. Ever!

Kick it back to AAISP as not fixed.
