BQM all over the place

My BQM seems to be a hot mess. When ever I look at other peoples they are super clean, yet mine always looks terrible.

Do other people have like 1 device connected to their LAN or something?

I think this is the correct link, never done this before.

What does your AAISP CQM graph look like? This is based on LCP Echo rather than ICMP but other than this it's the same underlying tech - First question to answer is do you have a problem.. second would be what's causing this pattern if not. Your minimum ping is stable so you're seeing mostly just jumping up of the occasional packet (lots of yellow but blue stays tiny) in the latter hald of that graphg.. the start shows a max latency very high with some packet loss so suggests you were maxing out your broadband connection maybe?

Definitely worth comparing to AAISP CQM..

I don't really feel like there's a problem, I just noticed it's very much different to most of the others I see on this site. Almost like I would need to disconnect everything but one linux device to match.

It's a little difficult to say what's happening when, we have multiple PC's and tablets in the home. Sometimes my son comes home from school, switches his PC on and it starts a 50GB download etc.

Have you set up an IPv6 ping to the device you originally set the BQM up with, or is it an IPv4 ping to your router?

Just checked the host and it's our public IPv4 address.

Ok so the middle one I presume matches the left of your BQM.. it shows the same latency spike.

We show 170ms scale CQM is 600ms - but the patterm for 2pm-6pm is the same on there.
If you look at that period the AAISP CQM shows the bandwidth usage (dark green) was also high).. so it confirms that's usage based saturation probably.. looks likw you have an FTTC 80Mbps product probably? (or 100Mbps FTTH or something).

To be honest, I'd ask the guys on #a&a IRC channel about it.. they will probably be able to say it needs looking into or not... or if you don't use th at ask AAISP support.. not in the "this ia bad" way just ask about the fact you're seeing the graph veing much more variable to others. They have access to a lot more data about your line (support) so they may have ideas.

You are correct in that it's an FTTC 80Mbps circuit.

Although the speed has dropped by about 10Mbps in the past 12 months.

Would you quote the TB BQM to them or just their own CQM?

I'd sent them both but I don't think the TBB one adds much. AAISP have great monitoring and it matches.. but nothing to lose.
