Awful speed this morning

[link to this post]

Very happy AAISP customer for some years and relived to be with them through COVID when ropey broadband of some senior colleagues left much to be desired. Grateful for largely rock solid service and especially grateful for AAISP persistence as copper line length at the upper end of that compatible with decent G.Fast performance. Required several Openreach visits to fix.

Which brings us to this morning where unusually working from home again and forced to switch to work mobile via a hotspot as AAISP line awful. Video call pixelated and graphs from others sharing screen would show as a black screen. Onedrive and other cloud file services difficult to use.

Out all afternoon and this evening have rebooted modem. All now seems better. AAISP status page checked and DOES note "nationwide" problems possible today due to Cityfibre upgrades but forum here quiet on this front.

Has anyone else experienced poor speeds or latency today?

I’m late to this but no, I don’t think I had any problems then. Did your CQM graphs show anything?

Thank you.

Another blip today. Line synced at max 160 and showing no problems but no internet at all for a little while on laptop.

Rebooted modem and all settled eventually.

There were a couple of lines of purple and purple with messages showing two drop outs, one user initiated which I assume was when I rebooted modem.

Nil had shown before reboot so unsure as to why the other drop out occurred.

Assume related to recent upgrades and if an occasional reboot needed so be it. Spoilt perhaps after years of stability.
