I am now on Plusnet. AA went down around 4am and PN came up around 7.15am, getting 1Gbits on the Plusnet hub with my laptop and ethernet cable. laugh

Also AA were quick to refund my unused days at 4.02am. laugh

Savings in the long run, reward card, cheaper monthly cost with PN and no line rental with VOIP when I eventually switch.

If all that is true, may we see the cost of each element of the service that you will be subscribing to please. You may not have a line rental to pay with VoIP, but usually there is a monthly fee for the use of a POTS style number in the 01/02 range. Then there will be call charges to consider.

£1.44 pm for bronze number (ported in) after £12 port and the amount of outgoing calls I make will be negligible. I am sure you can work out the costs with a little research. It's just a relief to get away from TTB in October/November, network fine customer service and sales rubbish.

So i'm confused. is your TTB contract ending oct 25 or oct 26?

That's great news, I'm pleased to read that there were no further troublesome hiccups. Just the PN reward card to come, the value of which will cover the cost of terminating the TTB contract in a few weeks time.

Next on the agenda: VoIP...

Good luck.

Have PN sent you a "Hub Two" router?

They have a few days ago by first class post. I haven't opened it other than to check it's contents. I plan to use my own router unless a problem occurs then will plug it in for diagnostics. Should be a straight forward change of username and pass on my Asus router I am hoping.

Worth keeping the Plusnet router safe not only for diagnostics but they expect it to be sent back now I believe if you do ever leave Plusnet otherwise a hefty charge for not returning the router.

Yes on the box it says please keep me. But I am using it now as I didn't get the expected speeds from my Asus alone so that is now in AP mesh mode.
