I've signed up

I have joined tonight with an order for full fibre on a 1 month contract. Ordering was simple but comprehensive. I chose the new installation without affecting my current service (VDSL/Phone) and as soon as that contract is up will port the phone to AA.

??? Really? That's what got you into this bother in the first place, that your phone is tied to your broadband. Get a service from an independent VOIP outfit and never get the phone and the internet buindled together again. If you go to voipfone and probably others, you can get a temporary number to get started and check everything works before porting in your current phone number.

Is that the City Fibre £35 per month deal?

The OP has posted various things that suggest it’s an Openreach based service they have ordered , not least posting the BTw DSL checker return for their address, the OP has several posts about this running concurrently, so not every detail is shown here , you need to aggregate all the posts to get the full picture.

But I don't see AA offering Openreach based FTTP on a one month minimum term - if he has ordered a City Fibre product from AA on a one month minimum term that looks like a very attractive deal with only a £10 installation fee.

Edit: AA do currently offer Openreach based FTTP on a one month minimum term.

A&A do offer a 1 month FTTP minimum term contract on Openreach with a £100 installation fee.

A&A VoIP is completely independent from their broadband services. I use A&A VoIP and Aquiss for connectivity.

If the OP isn’t happy with A&A voice, they will be free to switch without any impact to their broadband.

Interesting to know, but it does look like an area ripe for thoughtless Business Process Re-engineering like "Why are we carrying Phone and FTTP as separate products? We should port customers on separate products on to a combined product."
