My understanding is that there is a committed rate element to it though, something you don't get with normal FTTC

I was told it's a guaranteed 20/20 line with unlimited usage but it syncs as the highest rate you can get both ways.

So in affect unlimited FTTC with some extra bells and whistles

Would pretty much be impossible to guarantee 20mbps upstream really wouldn't it...

In my eyes that looks like FTTC with a higher support plan so that it guaranteed to get 20mbps downstream, not much different to someone who gets BT Infinity estimated for lowest of 35mbps... BT would guarantee 35mbps or drop the connection if it wasn't possible

Well it's delivered over ethernet but yes it would be max upstream sync.

And yes - nothing special about it.

I've looked at AAISP as TalkTalk don't seem to be able to fix my fault.

I've calculated how much it would cost and I've got over £70 a month!

Bearing in mind I currently pay under £10 (paid line rental up front) for FTTC 80Mb and anytime calls, which yes is broken but there is no way I am going to pay £60 more a month.

I would of course pay more than I pay now but when I queried this on their IRC, they didn't seem to think this was a massive cost.

I'm sure the service is truly excellent but worth £60 more a month? I cannot think it is that good.
