Need an AMP

[link to this post]

I managed to get this bargain.. if you can call it that!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-SS-H3700-Bookshelf-Sp...

And now I need an Amplifier to power them. The input will be from my PC 99% of the time.

Any recommendations? Nothing to fancy!

Have you thought of an old power amp using the Tuner/Line input which should be reasonably flat in frequency response ?

Yes Flilot ,but going by the very poor state of external audio amplification advertised now I actually used his post as a general reply .
I used to repair/build/design hi-end audio power/pre-amps and know that old good quality amps exceed the specs . and sound quality of much of the advertised dross sold now for TV & Computer.

If you thought your post had merit to the forum then why not just create a new thread rather than tag on to a 4 year old post?
