Strange IPv6 latency hump

I am taking part in the Plusnet IPv6 trial and have seen a "hump" in the IPv6 latency on a few nights that does not show up on the IPv4 latency.
It seems to be happening on a number of nights but the level of the "hump" varies. I have posted a couple of the worst below.

Just had the following reply from Plusnet.

We suspect the hump is a side effect of lack of IPv6 awareness of the DPI platform at the minute. We need to enable it, the action of which is queued with our ops guys
