BQM graph. Is it showing anything abnormal ?

[link to this post]

]2nd attempt !
Had a problem getting my BQM graph to show - so here we go again.
Having problems with slow page loading - and some days it cut off completely.
Is there anything abnormal showing on my graph ?
The only thing I can see is a broader blue 'Average latency' than is shown on the 'Sample graphs.

Unless you are constantly hammering the connection you would expect there to be less blue and yellow at night.

So either your connection is constantly busy, or this is a connection with a high variability in its latency.

Thanks SO much, MrSaffron.
It was my suspicion in the fact that I was on a busy connection, but in the last 3 months, it has never been suggested as any sort of reason for me to experience very bad intermittent drop outs and slow loading.
My computer generally gets turned off from about 6pm , and I'm not using it at all until approx. 7am the next day - so I'm not hammering anything.
Must be other users around me...?

What type of service is this?

Even if it was other users on a cable based service (sees the effect more) you would expect things to improve between 1am and 5am for example.

It's a cable service.
After 3 new superhubs, 4 technicians, new indoor cable, new splitters, being put onto different tap in the cabinet, 2 6dB attenuators being fitted - it still goes into 'Slow or Stop' and I get spates of 'Cannot connect to the internet' 'Reload Page' etc.
I think the next step is going to be a cable re-pull ...

You may just be blessed with people in the area who have the fastest service and are using it 24/7 and thus get constant latency issues.

if this was a physical fault I would have expected to see more packet loss.

I have had quite severe packet losses over a period of many hours -and then it all goes back to normal for days - then off again...
This is why I suspected it was something else other than faulty equipment - as that would show more of a constant problem, rather than one which only manifests for a period - then resolves.
The snapshot below shows a couple of them 11.05.14 and 12.05.14....

Those two look more like a fault rather than congestion

I know what I call them when they're happening !

Anyway, I realise there seems to be millions of reasons when things go wrong, but I reckon it's all heading to a cable repull...after I've played with the attenuator combinations for a few days ( advice from another site )...

I know where the cables run, but haven't seen anything like Sink Holes appearing that would cause them to wobble about !

Click share snapshot of graph link and you get a page with lots of options then copy paste the direct link e.g.

Your Graph

What did wrong was to try and share the PNG image link, rather than the HTML page.

Graph suggests a step rise in latency due to a resync and DLM increasing interleaving. This may have helped fix the large spikes overnight previously which might be errors or short term bursts where the connection was in use.

The burst is false and can often be caused by AV suites like Kaspersky

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/faq/sections/flash-spe...

The tests are long enough that the effect on the average is fairly minimal.
