Generally the Asus routers work once you enable ping responses. Do you have any more info on the bridge mode setup of the netgear? Could it be doing something clever?

hi, thanks for the reply. I enabled the modem only mode in the Netgear through the hidden settings as described here. The only other options I changed were to set the VCI to 38 and use LLC (I think, it's been a while). Other than that I haven't touched the modem since.

Bizarrely, having changed nothing at all the BQM has now started working and I have a graph. I checked in every day until Sunday and kept getting a blank graph, and then gave up through lack of progress. I went back in today just for a laugh and got a fully functioning graph. Most strange of all, I can see backdated graphs to the day I set it up (28th October).

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea why I can now see graphs that I couldn't on the day? I have not done anything at all to my PC or router. I have changed no settings, installed no software, not cleared any cache etc etc. In fact, I haven't even switched it off for a week. How come I can see graphs that I couldn't before?

When you say couldn't see graphs, do you mean when you looked at the BQM pages the chart was solid red previously but is not showing green, yellow and blue data?

Or do you mean the BQM system was not even allowing you to see the red no response graphs?
