Bonkers graph every day even when on holiday for 2 weeks

Hi, I usually have a 'normal' graph from Virgin but from 17 August this graph: My Broadband Ping
has been almost identical, coincidentally I have been on holiday from 17 - 31 August. My ping has gone from a steady 19ms to 32ms but my download speed is roughly the same at around 38MB on a 70MB connection. Any ideas of what is going on?

Anyone know what is going on with this connection? Why would the blue spikes be at the same time every day?

Problem solved but still none the wiser, see graph

Latest graph here: My Broadband Ping
shows the problems solved - just turned the router off for a minute and now graph is normal. Ping now 19ms again.

Would still like to know what the problem was though.

The super hub is known to behave oddly and need a reset now and then to keep latency performance sensible for things like the BQM
