Cisco versus HomeHub

Dug a Cisco 887 out of the loft and configured it on my regular ADSL connection (typically 17 down, 1 up).

Surprised to find the BQM graph even messier than the previous HH5 I used on the line. I have tried an HH6, which looks better (although that relies on using another network device in the DMZ rather than the hub itself responding to pings).

Is this normal? I would have thought a commercial grade router would have no issue at all with responses, etc.

All of that said - the connection generally seems fine.

Likely its not responding with any priority, so will depend on what other jobs the 887 is doing

Routers prioritise routing rather than responding to stuff directed at them.
