Packet Loss on BQM Graph - Not observed in 'real world' ?

[link to this post]

Bit of an odd one this...

Starting around 4am on 12th Sept, my BQM graph started showing packet loss creeping in up to around 30-40% and continuing:
12th Sept. BQM Graph
Live BQM Graph

However, ICMP tests to and from my connection are not showing any observable packet loss at all:

Nothings changed my end, no router settings, no firmware updates, no change of IP, etc. It's seemingly not affecting the connection so a bit puzzling. Thoughts?

Suggests some software is deciding to ignore repeated ping requests, e.g. DoS protection in the router
