Do you mean you have BOTH set a BQM to monitor the exact same IP?
If so, this means instead of the router being pinged once a second, it is being pinged twice a second.
This is likely to make a router block the pinging source.
ThinkBroadband have a couple different IP's that the pingbox can use.
Maybe your BQM used 1 IP and your friends BQM used the other, and the router stopped responding to 1 of them due to being flooded with pings.
Rebooting might have cleared this block?
Why not just have a single BQM setup that both of you can look at instead of doubling the resources required to respond by having 2 separate BQM's
Virgin Hubs in router mode don't like BQM's at the best of times. Having 2 separate BQM's pinging the same IP isn't ideal.
You say you are monitoring your friends graph and not that you have made your own, but that would show the exact same graph to both of you so I'm a little confused.
