BQM with CGNAT IPv4 addresses

[link to this post]

What is the bottom line, please? Does BQM work with CGNAT? I can't get it to, but that might be down to me misconfiguring something. (I have had BQM working previously, before I had CGNAT). OTOH, I can't see how it could work, since CGNAT addresses aren't routable. Unless there's some workaround that I'm not clever enough to figure out.

I can't find any mention of CGNAT on the BQM FAQ page. There are occasional hints on this forum that BQM isn't possible with CGNAT, but nothing I would recognise as a definitive statement.

No, it won't work. You need an IP address that is assigned just to you (whether dynamic or static) - CGNAT does not allow external connections inbound.

Ho hum, but thanks. A pity, since more and more people like me are going to get forced onto CGNAT as the altnets particularly can't get public v4 addresses. Maybe my ISP will support IPv6 before too long - I distinctly saw a pig fly past this afternoon.
