DDNS not working

[link to this post]

Hi, I am trying to setup the BQM on my Technicolor DGA0122 Router. When i try to enable DDNS using afraid i get this message "updating": https://imgur.com/a/ketX72U

My entire graph looks like this using that free address: https://imgur.com/a/48GohMM (Full red)

If i was to change the BQM address to what is displayed on https://www.thinkbroadband.com/tools/what-is-my-ip (ipv4) I get the same outcome, however if i change it to a ipv6 address on my network it works.

My router also supports pinging as shown here: https://imgur.com/a/gkQWEzt

Anyone know what i should do?

Which ISP ? Does they use CGNAT on IPv4 ? If your IPv6 is working it is possible you are behind CGNAT on v4.

Yes, they are using CGNAT

Then the BQM's pings are hitting the CGNAT box in the ISP network, and don't get to your router. So you have no way to use BQM with CGNAT on IPv4.

As you also have IPv6, use this for the BQM. Not all the alternate network ISPs offer IPv6.

Anyone know what the gaps are? I think it may be from my ddns provider?

I use afraid.org and don't see any gaps, but my ISP only provides IPv4 and a public IP. (Virgin Media).
