BQM Virgin Hub 3 / Orbi Mesh

Hi
I have noticed that my wifi / internet keeps dropping out.

I may always have had this issue but it has become apparent since having CCTV fitted which links to the interent via my orbi mesh satellite using a network cable. The cctv box beeps every time it loses signal wifi, I noticed that the TV also loses signal at the same time.
This is only for a second so i may not have noticed it before.

I don't know if this is a wifi issue or a whole internet issue.

I have a virgin hub 3 set as a modem then an netgear orbi mesh system that serves the wifi to a couple of orbi satellites.

I set up a BQM but it just shows red.
I saw in the help that I need to make some changes to settings. I have tried to follow the instructions for the hub3 but I cannot see the correct options when logged on.

Would these settings be on the hub3 which is set as a modem or on the Mesh system?

If on the hub 3 do I need to set it back to router first, make the changes then set back as a modem?

Not sure if this will help.

When I was setting mine up, if the IP address was an IPv6, then it was all red, only worked if I put the IPv4 in the BQM settings.

As you are in modem mode on the Hub 3 then it is the Mesh system that needs to respond to the BQM pinging. See if your mesh can t respond to pings.

If you did this, the BQM would only work when the Hub 3 was in router mode, when you set it back to modem mode, the settings you enabled (to be pingable) would be ignored as the mesh is connected directly to the internet.

Virgin Media still doesn't yet do IPv6.
