Always packet loss when starting a BQM

I got FTTP installed yesterday so I'm checking BQM graphs. I have started 4 graphs and at the start of each graph I see slight packet loss of say 5%. It doesn't seem to happen after that. e.g:

The above was with the Eero supplied by TalkTalk so I thought it was some Eero problem. I have the same problem with a OpenWRT router (just started it, very hard to see the red but it is there about 2% packet loss I think):

Is this a problem with my connection or just something with the monitor?
