AAISP - Regular Spikes after router reboot

[link to this post]

Any ideas what might have happened here after a router reboot last Monday?

Graph from 09/12/24

Please note the regular spikes following the reboot at 4:30pm.

I have tried rebooting both the ONT and the router and the spikes continue to appear.

Having checked on f8lure.mouselike.org. I can see a similar pattern on the second opinion AAISP FB graph, but not on the main graph.

Here is yesterday's graph on a low usage day as we were both out of the house from 10:00 to 16:00.

Graph from 15/12/2024

A similar spike pattern is also visible on the A&A usage graphs, although I'm not sure the times on TBB, f8lure and A&A fully coincide.

We did have a similar occurrence for a couple of days in November, but nothing since until last Monday.

Any thoughts welcome.

And just as quickly the spiking has disappeared. No idea what was causing the spikes but the last one was at midnight last night.

Did you ask AA about it?

I did and was was told that it was upload and something on our home network that was causing it. Whilst I cannot rule that out, I also can't think that we've changed anything to make the spikes appear and subsequently disappear.

It certainly appeared on a router reboot, but didn't clear itself on following reboots of either the ONT or router, so will have to remain one of life's great mysteries.

I was asking more out of interest than any great concern and, as it did not appear to be making any real world difference, I decided to leave things as they were. As it happens it cleared up a few days later anyway.
