8Mb Max DSL, the saga continues

Well, here I am, now 24 days since my max line was upgraded and Im I still can't get over 2Mb.

Just got another call from those nice BT people in India asking me if my speed problem has been fixed! (Surely they should know the answer to that)

After all the usual chat about running the speed test, which came back at 1.9 (see still under 2!), he started into telling me all about latency. He was quite the story teller. Apparently its like 10 gallons of water trying to get through a 1 gallon pipe, lol. With max the pipe stretches as and when it needs to etc etc, which is all fair enough I unterstand that. The problem i have is that my water pipe is stuck at 2 gallons and it aint stretchin, lol.

He asked me to look up various web pages and when i said they were loading ok, he said, well your speeds fine then, lol........i think not.

He said could he close the complaint, I obviously said no.

So the saga continues on and on and on......please let there be light at the end of the water pipe!

A miracle has happened, some 2 months after being upgraded to max I now have my connection which was capped at 2mb released. Speedtests show 6.1 and climbing. Thankyou for bringing the support team back into UK control. 5 Days after their calls and it appears to be sorted. Goodbye Bangalore!!!

Good for you, i was in the same boat... its now gone to sh*t about two weeks after i posted it was all fixed and working and im getting the run around by BT.

after 6 weeks of good speeds i am now stuck on 2 meg and have not had much luck with UK support
was advised to unplug DSL cable 3 times still no joy
guess i will have to keep on filling in the feedback form till they do something!

Well im stuck on 1mbit want to swap? also getting no joy from uk support!
