Bt Business broadband

I am considering moving to BT Business broadband: single for 29.99 ex Vat.
Would this be suitable for 5 student users: some P2P, heavy general internet, streaming etc?
And is there anything I shouldn't say to BT re. usage, i.e. more than 4 users, P2P usage etc...
I am assuming they will install to a residential phone line.

Also, will the Modem be tied to the username? Not that it matters, it just means I will only use it if my personal one dies...

Well if it is the same BT business that is at the shop I work it with the single, but ours is called solo. It is meant to only be used with one computer.

But sure it would be fine for that. Of course fair use policy applies.

Its not the best service in the world and support is very very very poor indeed (Indian call centre - lucky if they can understand what ur saying let alone what the problem is)
if you can avoid them the Uk tech staff are who u need to speak too, the thing is it can be pretty hard to get to one, seems you have been transfered about 10 times before they get you to the right person which can be very annoying when you have to give all ur details each time over and over again.

In my opinion I would recomend going elsewhere.

I understand what you are getting at, but isn't that the case with most ISPs? In any case, I would hope not to be contacting them unless it was absolutely necessary.

What I am saying is for the money the speed and service aint that great, I came from Nildram to BT single business Broadband because I was miss sold the service and was repeatedly told by BT sales staff it was a 20;1 contention which it is clearly not (the totaly clueless Indian tech support chaps still to this day when I phone up say I am on 20;1 but as stated before they don't have much of a clue about anything other than reading off a script supplied by BT, suggesting stupid things like check your modem and filter or use the master socket... WTF(??) would get more sense talking to aliens). I was getting on avarage far better speeds with Nildram and this has been a bad move, still soon as my 3 month contract is up I will be moving again this time trying to find a real 20:1 contention Isp at a cheaper price than what BT offer at about
