Usage limits

How strict are BT on their limits - I'm on the middle (6GB) package and I'm pretty sure were going to go over for atleast the first few months while broadbands an especially new plaything.

I know the BT FAQ says dont worry about occasional etc.. but this did seem quite vauge. None of the traffic is bittorrent or anything like that (Mostly google earth/Youtube/Steam). Do you think that this makes BT less likely to act/can they tell?

Anyone had experience with going over the limits?

i suspect if you remain fairly close to it they'll not mind.

its when people have a 6GB limit and then decide to download 6GB/day that they get really annoyed.

alternatively you could upgrade to option3 which has 40GB limit

i think if you constantly go over the 6gb they ask you to upgrade package

You could try monitoring your usage with Netmeter
That way you could make sure you weren't going over by too much.
