well as i suspected helpdesk told me delete cookies turn off firewall and anti virus software then run BT speedtester so humoured them and got same speed 458kps as b4.They decided to put me in touch with line faults who said plug into test socket for 5 hours and if that did,nt get speed back up ring up and request a line test to check if there was a fault on the line.I do wish you could get some better help off them but hey do i believe in miracles.

well rang line faults this morning and got all the usual junk about turn off firewall anti virus etc etc.Guess what no solution to the prob apart from there seems to be a fault so will ring you back in next 24 to 48 hours. So stuck at 500kbps and waiting fingers x for callback but judging by previous posts on this forum not holding out much hope.Thinking of telling them to stick their broadband and telephone too but only been with bttb 3 month so legally don,t know where i stand. It justs makes you fume that such a big company like bt can,t, or will not get customer service sorted out.
