BT Total Broadband Option 3 - any good?

Hi,

I'm deciding between setting up a minimum phone contract with BT and a separate ISP and the BT Total Broadband Option 3.

Does anyone have an opinion n the quality of the phone for the voice calls?

And is the wireless hub/router ok?

I use MacBook laptops.

Not confusing is it?

BT for telephone + ISP for BB

OR

BT for both (using Option 3)

Or at least I think that's what the OP is saying isn't it?

I'm on option 3 and never had a problem other than the hub (had three duff ones) but BT gave me a Voyager 2500v as an alternative as I wanted BB voice. Later Hubs seem to be less prone to failure so you should be OK.

MHC - sorry, I meant to say instead of Option 3 and just do the lowest BT phone line connection.

Actually it is confusing, to quote

suggests the OP was going for all three - the use of AND rather than OR.

I find call quality very good. Hubphone to Hubphone is fantastic quality.

The home hub and phone work. The issues start when you want to port forward with the home hub with software thats not in the list. It wont do it and there is no dmz.

The DMZ is under application and game sharing then the menu at the left it is displayed. Whether it works or not I do not know.
