Torrents

something seems to have happened this afternoon about 3.00pm i was downloading using uTorrent and connected to hundreds of seeds and pow nothing no downloads at all like someone pulled the plug ?

tested the port =open and everything looks ok my end but tried all sorts of torrents and nothing doing ? very odd i must say web browsing is ok and email just utorrent wont connect even though there is 100's of seeds

anyone else noticed anything going on ?

Is your tracker down?

had 3 all downloading from different trackers and nothing up/down just happened like some one switched them off ?

Yeah I will try in a few mins.

Maybe I see your point it is dead 0.xKB/s down speeds.Two different trackers and poor download speeds. Could it be the end for torrents on BT....

EDIT: Downloading now at over 300KB/s interesting to see what happens at 6. Past 6 download speeds are still as high varying between 280ish and 380ish.

170k off news server 140 off p2p pretty much max conn will do at 18:02

nothing happening here tried about 10 torrents all with 20+seeds and it shows seds as connected (10) but download speed is a Big Fat 0, tried another computer to rule out errors and no pc i have here will downlaod a file with uTorrent ! all just go through the motions but none show any speed on downloads.

everything else working ok just no torrents work here.

i suspected something was up as i just happened to be on the uTorrent status screen and it was like someone switched it off.

if they have then i'll be off also ! i pay premium money and expect to be able to download what i wish without censorship

i dont have a problem with speed capped 6-11 but a total shutdown ! thats another story, hope i'm wrong i'll check back here later to see if other are having probs?



EDIT just started working again very odd been sitting there for 3+hrs with 60+seeds and it just cut back in like someone switched it back on again ??

I take it you have protocol encryption enabled on u torrent ?

not usually i dont and when it went down it was off and it running ok now with it off, i dont usually use it as i thought it slow down the downloads. but i'll switch it on i think.

Don't use it here and downloads seem to be fine.
