BT hub phone

I signed up with Bt Broadband option 3 this week, all is fine except that the HB phone provided stopped working to-day, I cannot even get a dialing tone. Bt are sending me another phone, I have in the meantime tried to connect another phone to the hub, but it is connecting to my landline and not to my internet connection. can anyone please advice.Thank you

have you enabled dmz on youre home hub? that breaks the hub phone

It sounds like your HH has upgraded to 6.2.2.6 firmware. When they do this they drop one's configuration. (Yes i know that they shouldn't but they do.) Go to www.bt.com/bbv and re-register the hub with your BT BB Talk service.

If I was a BT shareholder I would be mightily [censored] off with India. They never seem to bother to diagnose a problem they just throw hardware at it. Anyway you'll have two Hub Phones now.
