Netgear Firewall fvs338 in front of BTHomeHub

[link to this post]

I am considering purchasing a Netgear firewall for a particular reason relating to setting up a secure VPN. Am I able to place this in front of the BT HomeHub or does the BTHomeHub have to be at the front end of my connection. Basically do I run into problems by putting the Hub behind another firewall or should I be okay?

I am interested to learn of others that have a similar setup/position of the Hub?

Well if you put it in front of the home hub, your firewall will have no connection to the outside world! It does state this on netgears website.

You may also run into trouble as I am looking at it, it seems to have a built in DHCP server which will either need to be disabled or disabled on the HH. On that note the HH has its built in firewall anyway.
