streaming media

Hi sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this, but i have had bt broadband since it came about (5years+ maybe?) and have never had any problems streaming mdeia (for example www.apple.com/trailers) untill i switched to total broadband using the bt home hub, its connected to my pc via ethernet so slow usb speeds or wireless isnt a problem.

I am happy with my download speeds (get between 240-700 ;have been told it will settle soon) using download manager. But streaming of the media like the movie trailers is almost non existant, used to be able to easily stream a medium trailer with ease. But now with home hub i cant stream, takes around 5-10mins tog et half way then it will stop and say that the page has done.

I have tried using different browsers firefox, bt explorer and normal explorer but i get the same result from all. I have tried playing with settings such as secuirty and hub settings but i cant seem tog et this working right. Anyone else had this problem and/or know how to resolve this.

Any help would be great thanks as i am pulling my hair out at the moment.

Good speedtest results. I can steam no problem on a 3.5Mb line. Are you connecting via wireless by any chance?

thanks for the reply, no i'm not using wireless at the moment.... the modem is connected via ethernet
